Drawing/Painting with Nick Bogdanos
This new art program with Nick Bogdanos is a 32-week drawing/painting program organized for 2 groups by age. Nick Bogdanos is the president of the Saint-Laurent Artists' Association and has many years of experience as a teacher and artist. Let Nick inspire the artist within you register now
Group 1 - Ages 8-12, Saturdays 9:00 - 10:30, Cost $325
Classes start Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at Chambly Academy in St. Lambert
Course description: (for ages 8 to 12 years)
This introduction course to the art of drawing and painting will help your children discover the artist within. The fundamentals of art will be taught using various madiums (pencil, charcoal, pastels to watercolor). The basics of forms, shadows, perspective, composition and color theory will be taught through fun hands-on methods.
Group 2 - Ages 13+, Saturdays 10:45 - 1:15, Cost: $375
Classes start Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at Chambly Academy in St. Lambert
Course description: (for ages 13+ years)
Discover the joys of drawing and painting. In this introduction course, you will learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting through the exploration of various methods and mediums such as pencil, charcoal, pastels and watercolor paint. You will nurture the artist within and learn to capture what you see around you. The basics of forms, shadows, perspective, composition and color theory will be taught through observation.
Préville Theatre Troupe - Ages 12+
with Kristen Witczak, Mondays - 5:30 pm to 8 pm
Welcome to the Préville Theatre Troupe, a comprehensive 32-week class in acting for the stage! Join a group of dynamic, fun, hard-working and talented young actors and actresses as they develop theatre skills such as mime, movement, voice and speech, characterization, scene & monologue study, audition preparation and physicalization
The troupe produces two full-length productions throughout the year (December & May). Come join us for a year of exploration and fun as you learn the art of the theatre. For students aged 12+ however exceptions can be made.

Cost: $475 for intensive 32-week full year program
